Aqueous dye and aqueous pigment inks are each rated BEST — the full aqueous plotter category. Latex, solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable inks are not rated for this film, so this is strictly an aqueous production material.

Working with it

Two specifications govern how you use it. First, the adhesive: Kodak states it is specially designed to be easy to install and cleanly removable for up to 90 days. Past that window, plan on it staying put. Second, lamination, where Kodak is unusually detailed — always use pressure-sensitive laminates, do not apply by hand, allow the image to dry for 24 hours before laminating, and let the adhesive and laminate cure for at least two hours before trimming, with 24 hours being ideal. Opacity is 99.47%, effectively total, and whiteness is 88 CIE. Rolls run 42 to 60 inches wide on 2-inch cores.
