Photo reproduction, posters and indoor POP are Kodak’s stated ideal applications. The short-term backlit listing is the vendor’s own and should be read for what it says: a limited run in a lit fixture, not a permanent lightbox. A dedicated backlit polyester is the correct specification for anything installed for the long term.

Ink compatibility

Rated BEST across four chemistries: solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable. It is not for aqueous printers. Aqueous dye and aqueous pigment inks are not rated for this paper. The resin-coated base is the same photographic construction an aqueous photo paper uses, but the receiving coating is built for solvent-family inks, and that difference is the whole product.

Working with it

A protective laminate should always be applied after printing. Kodak specifies pressure-sensitive or thermal laminates applied on equipment rather than by hand, and asks that the image dry for a full 24 hours first. CIE whiteness is 145 on a resin-coated photo base. This pallet listing is supplied in 36-inch rolls on 3-inch cores; the single-roll listing of the same satin paper covers 54 to 61 inches, so check the width before ordering by pallet.
