What you should know
KODAK Premium Photo Paper, Satin / 10 Mil / Solvent is a true resin-coated photo paper — 10 mil, 225 gsm, satin — engineered specifically for low-solvent, solvent, latex and UV-curable printers. That distinction is the thing to get right before ordering: it is the same photographic RC construction you would expect from an aqueous photo paper, but the receiving coating is built for solvent-family inks.

That last application is Kodak’s own listing and is worth reading carefully: this is a photo paper being pressed into a lit fixture for a limited run, not a dedicated backlit film. For a permanent lightbox installation, a purpose-built backlit polyester is the correct material.
Ink compatibility
Rated BEST across four chemistries: solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable. Aqueous dye and aqueous pigment inks are not rated for this paper, so it is not the right roll for an aqueous photo plotter — Kodak’s aqueous-series photo papers cover that side of the shop.
Working with it
Kodak’s finishing guidance is firm. A protective laminate should always be applied after printing, and hand-applying it is not recommended; use pressure-sensitive or thermal laminates on equipment. Allow the image to dry for a full 24 hours before laminating. Rolls run 54 to 61 inches wide on 3-inch cores, and CIE whiteness is rated above 145 on a resin-coated photo base. The same satin paper is also stocked in a pallet-quantity version for shops running it as a standing item.
