KODAK Photo Tex Repositionable Fabric, Solvent is a 12-mil, 280 gsm fabric made from 40–45% polyester and 40–45% pulp-cellulose. Kodak states it sticks to any non-porous flat surface and removes easily with no residue, giving sharp seamless graphics and photographic image quality every time. This is the standard-grade solvent Photo Tex — lighter than the 13-mil EX and opaque versions, and the general-purpose choice in the line.

Wall murals and life-size cut-outs are Kodak’s stated ideal applications. What ties the whole list together is that every item is a graphic applied to something that already exists — a wall, a door, a window — and has to come off it again without damage. That is a narrower requirement than it sounds and it is what this family of materials is engineered around.
Ink compatibility
Solvent, eco-solvent, latex and UV-curable inks are each rated compatible. It is not rated for aqueous printers. No aqueous dye or aqueous pigment rating exists on file for this version — Kodak stocks an aqueous Photo Tex at 10 mil and 240 gsm for those presses. None of the four rated chemistries carries a BEST rating, so this is a material to profile properly rather than assume.
Working with it
Kodak recommends it outdoors for up to six months without additional protection and publishes no overlamination requirement. Rolls run 30 to 60 inches wide on 3-inch cores, the widest span among the solvent Photo Tex listings, which makes this the practical default for large wall work on a solvent press.
