KODAK PROFESSIONAL Inkjet Photo Paper, Glossy DL is the dry-lab format of Kodak’s 255 gsm resin-coated gloss photo paper — 10 mil, on a true photographic resin-coated base with what Kodak calls an e-surface finish and pulp of unsurpassed quality. Kodak positions it as giving a studio the freedom to print in house, with the PROFESSIONAL back-print seal of quality behind the output.

What the format itself tells you is unambiguous: at 4 to 12 inches wide on 3-inch cores, this is a studio print-fulfilment roll. Those are portrait, event and package-print widths — the sizes a studio sells to clients — not display or exhibition widths.
Ink compatibility
No ink-chemistry rating is on file for this listing. Kodak’s data for the DL products states printer compatibility by machine class rather than by ink chemistry, so we hold no dye, pigment, latex, solvent or UV rating for it and we will not infer one from the sibling product. Working with it
Kodak’s finishing guidance is the same as for the wide-format version: a protective laminate is always recommended after printing, hand-applying it is not recommended, pressure-sensitive or thermal laminates can be used, and the image should dry for 24 hours before the laminate is applied. The base measures 90% opacity and 134 CIE whiteness. Rolls run 4 to 12 inches wide on 3-inch cores.
