Not comfortably. It’s a single-roll production printer with no scanner, so fast bond-and-vellum switching and redline markups aren’t its strength. Keep it alongside a technical plotter such as the Epson SureColor T5270DR rather than in place of one.
No. Latex ink is heat-cured, so output comes off the machine dry and scratch-resistant. That’s the main reason AEC shops choose it for site maps and job-site signage.
It uses HP 832 inks across an eight-cartridge CMYK setup with HP 836 printheads. Plan to keep HP 833 maintenance cartridges and the HP Latex 600/700/800 Series User Maintenance Kit on hand.
No. There’s no scanning or copying function. If you need to capture markups or archive drawings, you’ll need a separate scanner in the workflow.
HP lists a sound pressure level of 48 dB while printing, which is workable in a dedicated print room but noticeable in an open office.
It’s current as of early 2026. HP launched it in mid-2025 as the successor to the Latex 700 series and is actively supporting and promoting it.
