Questions
Straight answers
What AEC work is the HP T1500 36-in ePrinter suited to?
It fits shared office production of CAD drawings, PDF issue sets, color coordination sheets, and technical graphics where 36-inch roll or cut-sheet output is useful. Its supported page-description languages include HP-GL/2, HP-RTL, PCL 3, and TIFF.
How fast is the HP T1500 36-in ePrinter?
HP rates color A1 line output at 120 pph in normal quality. That rating should not be treated as completed-set throughput, which also includes processing, media handling, and collecting output.
Can it handle both plans and presentation-oriented media?
Yes. The record lists cut sheets and roll paper, recommended media weights from 60 to 328 g/m², and bond, coated, glossy, and photo paper media types. Test the actual drawing and media combination before committing to a standard.
Does this model support scanning and copying?
The supplied product record does not state that scanning or copying is built in. Buyers who need those functions should confirm the required workflow and any compatible accessory arrangement with their dealer.
What supplies does it use?
The compatible ink family is HP 727. The supplied compatibility record also lists multiple HP media and maintenance items, including HP C0F08A printing film and HP Matte Film 610 mm x 38.1 m (24 in x 125 ft).
When should I consider the HP DesignJet T1600dr 36-in instead?
Consider it when dual-roll operation is a defined requirement, because the catalog explicitly identifies that model as dual-roll. This matters where teams frequently switch between media types or sizes.
