OMM4X is a 4-mil double-matte polyester (PET) engineering film in Dietzgen’s economy grade. It is the toner counterpart to the company’s inkjet films: the same PET construction and the same archival argument, but a surface specified for toner devices and large-document copiers rather than for inkjet.

Ink compatibility
The rating table here is a single line: toner, rated BEST. No aqueous, latex, solvent, UV or HP PageWide rating exists for OMM4X. That is the product working as intended rather than a gap in the data — it is a xerographic and LDC film. For inkjet plotters, Dietzgen’s double-matte inkjet films, 7924D at 4 mil and 703D at 3 mil, carry the aqueous ratings instead.
Working with it
Opacity is 34%, so the film reads as a translucent intermediate: it can go back through a reprographic process to make prints rather than only serving as the finished copy. Dietzgen states the film is tear resistant and water resistant, will not yellow or fade with time or due to ozone exposure, and sits on a dimensionally stable PET base — the last point being what keeps a reissued drawing to scale. It is supplied in a single 22-inch roll width on 3-inch cores.
