What you should know
POSPRO200 is an opaque blockout display film — 10.5 mil, 215 gsm, finished with Magic’s “Universal” coating and a low-glare matte face. A blockout film is built so that nothing shows through it: not light from behind the graphic, and not the reverse side of the print itself. That is what makes it the correct material for a freestanding display rather than one mounted flat against a wall.

Several of those involve a banner that gets rolled into a cassette and pulled back out, repeatedly, over a long service life. Dietzgen specifies POSPRO200 as curl resistant, which is the single property that decides whether a retractable graphic still hangs straight on its twentieth deployment or bows away from the stand. The film is also rated tear and scratch resistant, and water and fade resistant.
Ink compatibility
The rating table is unusually broad. Five chemistries are rated BEST — aqueous dye, aqueous pigment, solvent, eco-solvent and UV-curable — and three more are rated GOOD: latex, toner and HP PageWide. Every common wide-format technology has a rating on file, which is what the “Universal” in the coating name refers to.
Working with it
The matte face is a deliberate choice for the application: tradeshow and retail graphics are lit from above and read off-axis, where a gloss face throws hot spots. Where added surface protection is wanted, Dietzgen states the film is compatible with most pressure-sensitive and thermal overlaminates. It is supplied in a single 36-inch roll width on 3-inch cores. Note that the product is sold as “10mil” while the vendor gauge is 10.5 mil.
